Justin Alexander Signature’s FW27 Crescendo presentation, held October 12 at So & So’s piano bar in Manhattan, New York served as a memorable kick off to New York Bridal Fashion Week, October 12-15.
Its team brought the ambition of a full runway production into the intimate jazz club, with 17 gowns, a live band, and models moving among guests. It gave editors a chance to see the draping, construction, and volume up close while still delivering a little theater.
The room went dark for a series of spotlight reveals set to I Put a Spell on You, with models appearing at the bar, beside the band, and onstage before coming together for a final group shot. Vocalist Dolly Lowe, wearing a gown from the collection, closed with Moondance before joining Justin Warshaw and the models.
That sense of a gradual build carried through Crescendo itself, from quieter, refined silhouettes to sweeping skirts and dramatic volume.
