In line with the City of Atlanta Executive Order for residents to shelter in place and non-essential businesses to temporarily close, International Market Centers (IMC) will fully comply with the government order and temporarily close AmericasMart® Atlanta, the Atlanta Convention Center at AmericasMart, and the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC) to the public through April 6, 2020.

The 14-day closure, which began end of day March 24 and ordered by Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, aims to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

“Our main priority is the health and safety our customers, our team, our families and our community,” said Bob Maricich, IMC CEO. “The situation in Georgia, like all states, is evolving rapidly and we are reacting to new information and sharing it as quickly as possible. As we continue to monitor and implement the advice and input of our constituents and governing bodies, we’re adapting daily to ensure we operate with this priority at heart.”

IMC tenants and staff still will have access to the buildings for essential business support, provided appropriate social distancing is observed. In-progress construction and tenant improvements in individual showrooms in all buildings will continue, although distancing requirements will be implemented.

At AmericasMart, the Shop the Mart public access to Building 3 fine jewelry, accessories and apparel collection is suspended for 14 days.

“These last several weeks have been like nothing we have experienced in recent history,” adds Maricich. “We are all navigating an unprecedented and highly fluid situation in real time and appreciate the patience, support and partnership of our tenants and customers. We care deeply about the IMC family and will do our very best to ensure we all come through this as best we can.”
