Anna Totonchy, owner of Anna's Bridal Boutique, a cherished institution based in Portland, Oregon, has announced her store is under new ownership.
The tiara of responsibility now adorns Katie McNutt, the new owner, who brings a wealth of experience to the role. Katie has been an integral part of the Anna's Bridal family since 2007, serving as the store manager. Her deep understanding of the business and industry, coupled with a passion for creating unforgettable experiences, makes her the perfect person to take the reins.
Established by Anna Totonchy in 1993, the boutique has been a beacon of style and sophistication, evolving from an upscale fabric shop to a premier destination for brides from all over the country. Today, the boutique stands proud as a recipient of many accolades, including the "Best Bridal Shop" award by OregonWedding Day Magazine for an impressive sixteen years.
“Given I have been at the boutique for many years and also the fact that Anna herself will still be a presence I feel confident the transition will be seamless in many ways,” explained McNutt.
“My main focus will be to prioritize exceptional customer service. I will continue to create an experience for our brides that exceeds their expectations, making it an unforgettable part of their wedding journey. I will also maintain the solid relationships we have built with our suppliers, grow our brand visibility and engagement through social media and marketing, and update inventory according to current trends and what we see our brides are looking for in their dream wedding gown. Anna's Bridal has been in business for decades and my goal will be to continue helping brides for many decades to come,” she added.
Totonchy will continue to contribute to the boutique in a more limited capacity, working alongside Katie and the team.
Anna was born in Iraq and emigrated to Lake Oswego in 1976. A true self-made success story, she looks forward to spending more time with her four grandchildren and traveling with her husband of 47 years.
She describes Katie, a mother of three, as her second daughter and a big reason why the shop was successful over the years. Anna’s first daughter, Nora Sheils, runs Bridal Bliss, a full-service wedding and special event planning company out of the bridal boutique.
