IBMA launches campaign to support shopping at specialty bridal boutiques

In the midst of an increasing online retail sales climate, local bridal salons are still the best way for a new bride to discover her perfect gown and accessories for her special day.

Specialty bridal boutiques are not only surviving, but thriving, in part due to the leadership of the International Bridal Manufacturers Association (IBMA) and the launch of its multifaceted awareness campaign to promote the ultimate bridal experiences at local bridal stores.

Created under the tagline COME FIND YOUR YES! and the hashtag #ComeFindYourYes, the national marketing effort will include traditional media, social media and special events. A store locator guide is also available on the COMEFINDYOURYES website.

“The tagline emerged from a collaborative approach with the top bridal stores in the country. We want to encourage brides to avoid the mishaps and pitfalls of purchasing a gown online, which can cause stress for them on their special day,” says Bruce Campbell, IBMA President.

“Our focus is to have the bride’s best interest at heart and help them turn their vision into a magical reality for their wedding day.”

Some brides feel that the bridal experience at a boutique comes with a hefty price tag, but that is not the case. Local bridal salons offer gowns in a variety of price points, fabrics and styles, making it easy to find that perfect dress.

Every bride deserves to have her bridal moment. Only at a brick-and-mortar bridal store can she be guided by experts, try on a variety of styles and gowns from different designers and be reassured that she has a team of bridal professionals supporting her during the entire process.

“Bridal boutiques have the most fashion-forward, bride-focused stylists/consultants and staff in their markets,” Campbell says. “We understand that a bride’s wedding gown shopping experience is a once-in-a-lifetime event, and we are honored to be a part of that special day.”
